These terms cover steadypencil.com, run by Steady Pencil, a sole proprietorship in South Africa. By using the site you agree to them. The site is free and needs no account.
Using the site
Please don't scrape or bulk-download the site, try to get round its checks, overload it, or pass off other pages or QR codes as ours. We may block access that does.
Registering a book
To register a Steady Pencil book, enter the code printed in it and answer a question or two that only someone holding the book can answer. Registering unlocks bonus printables and a Registered stamp. Please don't share the answers.
Registration only adds extras: your book is always complete without it. Rewards are for owning a book, never for reviews. We may improve, replace or retire extras over time.
Printables
Bonus printables are for personal and household use: print as many copies as you like for yourself and the people you live with, but please don't share, sell or upload the files. Please never post puzzles from our books, or their answers, online. The licence has the details.
Books
Our books are sold, printed and shipped by Amazon, so orders, returns and refunds go through Amazon. If you find a mistake in a puzzle, tell us and we'll fix it.
No warranty
We run the site with care, but provide it free and as it is, and it may sometimes be unavailable or contain errors. As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for losses from using it. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under South Africa's Consumer Protection Act or any other law that can't be excluded, or our liability for gross negligence.
Changes and law
We may update these terms; the date above shows the latest version. South African law applies. If you live elsewhere, you keep any consumer protection your own country's law gives you.
